Dr Salti studied Medicine at Rene Descartes university - Paris - FRANCE and did his fellowship in anesthesia and intensive care at Bichat hospital Paris - FRANCE.
He is French board certified in both Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Salti has a great passion for educational activities which is reflected in his active participation, presentations and workshops.
He is the chairman of (NYSORA) New York School of Regional Anesthesia Middle East and the founder of the Gulf Pain School.

Dr. Amit Jain, Clinical Professor in Anesthesiology, Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University is currently working as Associate Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Institute, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. In the past 7 years at CCAD, he had played a crucial role in running Continuous Education Program in Anesthesiology and is currently upholding the position of Academic Activity Director in the Anesthesiology Institute. He also contributed as Preceptor for Clinical Elective Program in Anesthesiology at CCAD for 5 long years. Under his leadership, the program successfully enrolled more than 20 medical students, including anesthesia residents from within Middle East as well as residents from the United States and Europe. Overall, he has a keen interest in academics and research. Some of his key areas of interest include perioperative medicine, cardiac patients scheduled for non-cardiac surgery, perioperative antithrombotic medications, electrophysiology lab procedures and anesthesia, neuro-cardiobiology, neuromuscular monitoring, gastric and airway ultrasonography. He authored more than 60 publications in various peer reviewed journals and has contributed for several book chapters in the field of neuroanesthesia. During the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, he invested his time in conducting translational medicine research aimed at determining the pathophysiological explanations for COVID-19 disease. In this area, he proposed the concept of Epithelial-endothelial cross-talk to explain the early pathobiology of this disease and has successfully authored about 16 publications on COVID-19 disease in various auspices’ journals including but not limited to AJRCC, ICM and BJA.

Dr. Andra Duncan, Professor of Anesthesiology and Vice Chair of Academics and Research, practices cardiothoracic anesthesia at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Duncan has received research funding from the National Institutes of Health and the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesia (SCA) to study advanced echocardiographic techniques and innovative interventions to improve outcomes after cardiac surgery. Dr. Arun Kumar

Dr Arun Kumar is the Department Chair of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Deputy Director of Transplant Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor in Anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, Ohio. Dr Arun Kumar obtained his medical degree and MD in Anesthesiology from JIPMER, India. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and has the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from UK. Dr Kumar completed his Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia and Transplant from the Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridge.

Dr. Boris Tufegdzic

Dr Boris Tufegdzic, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Anaesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He completed his residency in Anesthesia at the Medical University in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia. In 2019, he was awarded the title of Primarius by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia. In 2021, he was awarded the title of Diplomate of the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (DESAIC). Dr Tufegdzic was appointed as Clinical Associate Professor of Anaesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University in 2021. Dr Tufegdzic is skilled in many routine and advanced anaesthesia procedures, with an interest in neuroanesthesia. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles and is a peer reviewer of many international indexed journals in the field of anaesthesiology, critical care and neurosurgery.

Clara Lobo, an Anesthesiology Consultant, boasts a multifaceted career. As the Medical Director of CCAD's Acute and Transitional Pain Service, she's been at the forefront of patient care. Notably, Clara served as ESRA's Secretary General from 2019 to 2022, while also taking on the roles of EDRA diplomat and examiner. As the ESRA Newsletter Editor and Chair of the Trainees course and webinars, she's actively contributed to anesthesiology education. Her passion lies in regional anesthesia, pain management, and education, evident in her numerous book chapters, original papers, and guidelines/recommendations. Beyond medicine, Clara savors life through travel, reading, music, and more.

Dr. Marta Kelava earned her medical degree from the University of Zagreb, School of Medicine, Croatia. After completing an internship at University Hospital Center Zagreb, she joined Cleveland Clinic, and graduated from CWRU with a master’s degree in clinical research. Dr. Kelava completed anesthesiology residency and a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic where she joined as Faculty in 2018.

Dr. Kelava published in peer-reviewed journals focusing on improving outcomes in patients undergoing cardiac surgery and is conducting a large multi-institutional trial focused on improving patient management on CPB. She is an Assistant Professor in Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner School of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University.

Massimo Lamperti, MD, is a Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Chief of General Anesthesiology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic, Prof. Lamperti worked as a consultant anesthesiologist in neuroanesthesia and pediatric anesthesia at National Neurological Institute Besta, in Milan, Italy. He completed his residency in Milan, Italy and then he attended two fellowships in the US and UK. His main clinical field is neuroanesthesia and critical care. In the last ten years, he became one of the main researchers in the field of point-of-care ultrasound and he has been involved in research in depth of anesthesia monitoring.

Dr. Lamperti is a peer reviewer of many international indexed journals in the field of anesthesiology, critical care, pediatrics, and neurosurgery. He is also associate editor of the British Journal of Anaesthesia and of Journal of Vascular Access.

Dr. Nikolaos Skubas

Dr. Skubas earned his medical degree from Aristoteles University in Thessaloniki, Greece. He completed his internship and anesthesiology residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center, Cleveland, OH and a two-year fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Dr. Skubas is a fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE) and American College of Cardiology (FACC).

Dr. Skubas served as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis until 2000. He was recruited by Weill Cornell Medicine in 2002 to lead the echocardiography activities of the Division of Cardiac Anesthesia, where he became Director in 2009. During his tenure at Weill Cornell Medicine, he was instrumental in launching the heart surgery activities at New York Methodist Hospital in 2004. Dr. Skubas fostered the programmatic evolution of the Division of Cardiac Anesthesia via its collaboration with the trans-catheter valve program, echocardiographic services for percutaneous interventions and, in 2016, the launching of robotic heart surgery. He is the Chair of the Department of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology in the Anesthesiology Institute of Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH since July 2017.

Dr. Skubas has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and co-authored practice guidelines sponsored by the American Society of Echocardiography, American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association. He is a co-editor of the Problem-Oriented Patient Management, 8th edition and of the Savage & Aronson’s Comprehensive Textbook of Perioperative and Critical Care Echocardiography, 3rd edition He has served on the editorial board of the journal Anesthesia and Analgesia since 2005 and he is the Executive Section Editor for Perioperative Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Education. He also is an associate editor for the journal Anesthesiology.

Dr. Skubas is Chair of the Basic Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (Basic PTeXAM) Writing Committee and member of the Board of Directors of the National Board of Echocardiography.

He also has worked as Anaesthesiologist at Watford General Hospital, UK. Dr. Stefanov was involved in the development of the largest private Cardiac Surgery Program in Bulgaria. He finished his residency in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care in the National Heard Hospital, Sofia Bulgaria in 2007
